- Removed particle rendering mixins. - Added config for Glow Goop tooltips. - Fixed Mixin conflict-related crashes with Scorched Guns. - Fixed Field Guide variants showing mystery variants, crashing, etc. - A majority of mobs have had their stats `(health, damage, etc.)` drastically improved. They should now be more consistent with similar Vanilla/modded mobs, and things like Butterflies should no longer be hard to kill. - Mob removal configs should actually prevent spawning now. - Caterpillars follow the Butterfly removal config. - Spawns no longer even attempt if mobs are disabled - so they should not take up the mob cap. - Filled out as many block/item tags as I was aware of `(please let me know if you have any other suggestions)'` - Bass now have attack damage properties, so them attacking things should no longer crash you. - Fixed the Alligator Field Guide compat being vague and saying "them" instead of "Player". - Tigers no longer hunt in packs, and spawn in groups of 1 instead of 1-2. - Tiger variant spawning should be fixed, and biomes have been adjusted. - Lions now spawn in groups of 3-5 instead of 1-3. The first 2 are guaranteed to be adults, and the final 3 can spawn as entirely babies or a mixture of adults and babies. - 1 Lion is always maneless, and prides now follow maneless Lions instead of maned. - Komodo Dragons now spawn in Jungles and Sparse Jungles.

### Note from the author, me, crispytwig :-) It's definitely been a while, thanks for your patience! Please report any bugs you find in the port and I will try to address them as soon as possible. With that being said, going forward, updates will likely not be as frequent as they used to, but I will be trying to maintain this more. In the future I'd like to add more animals from the Bedrock version, but I primarily want to focus on compatibility for other mods so I can focus on creating new content. This version is 1.0.0 _(I know, after 5.0?)_ because it marks the first major update for Naturalist after our Bedrock port, and this will now serve as the baseline for the mod going forward. With that set, I want to properly start putting out things like hotfixes. Thank you again! ### Changelog : - Ported from Architectury 1.20.1 -> NeoForge 1.21.1 - Removed unused content. - Added an optional resource pack for Spawn Eggs in the style of 1.21.5+ - Updated animal models, animations, textures, and sounds. - Big thanks to @MattDearGameAudio for the sounds :-) - Zebras now use a custom model and animations instead of the default Horse model. - Babies now have custom models, animations, and sounds ___ - Reorganized file paths a bit - Fixed animation bugs -- using the animations of nearby entities of the same type, bone scaling, etc. - Simplified entity configs to removal-only - Adjusted entity panic speeds - Gave "beefier" animals knockback resistance - Fireflies have compat with Lamb Dynamic Lights - Added Biomes o' Plenty compat to animals' biome tag spawning - Additionally fixed a lot of animals' spawn rules / blocks, they will now spawn on blocks like Podzol and Coarse Dirt, etc. - Added new Butterfly variants, equaling : - Red Admiral - Monarch - Clouded Yellow - Green Swallowtail - Emerald Green Swallowtail - Blue Morpho - Purple Admiral - Renamed "Bug Net" to "Capture Net" - Renamed "Teddy Bear" to "Plush Bear"

🦋 **Naturalist 4.0.0 — World of Color** Throughout the past year or so, we’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from the community! This version implements some of that feedback, focusing on improving older features we’ve added to the mod and aiming to improve them. Let us know what you think! - ***Initial 1.20.1 Port !*** - Made Snails dyeable. Snails can now be right-clicked with any Vanilla Dye item to color them! Putting them in buckets will now show their color as well as a “lore” text underneath saying what color they are for colorblind folks. - Snails can now be bred with Beetroot — they will lay a clutch of Snail Eggs which will take between 30 seconds and 2 minutes to hatch. There is a random chance of the baby amount being between 2 and 6. - Butterflies and all bucketed mobs can now be shot out of Dispensers! - Glow Goop can now be placed, and when not held, its display will be invisible similar to Barriers. If a block is placed in the same spot, their items will drop. - Butterflies now have variants, and can be caught with a new item — the Bug Net! Caterpillars can also now be picked up. The caught Butterflies can be released or placed in Item Frames. - **LOADS of misc. bugfixes and smaller features.**

## 🐸 Swamplands Patch 3.0.4 - Fixed all heads of mobs that would grow with shaders or when the game is paused — _Please inform us if you’re still having issues or new issues arise; this fix is **experimental**._ - Removed the “Old Models” resource pack — was not really relevant to this version anyway as it’s being used for the future. When the new update is released this resource pack will be uploaded as its own project. - Changed/fixed Ducks’ tempting/breeding items to only include raw fish, including fish tagged in mods with the appropriate tags such as “#forge:fish” and “#c:raw_fish”. - Lions, Rhinos, and Elephants now only attack Players if they attack their baby or themselves, and not if the player comes close to their baby. - Birds now emit Note Block particles when their ambient noise plays, and they do not make ambient noises at night. - Added tags for Alex’s Mobs compatibility, such as animal hostiles and tempt items. - Fireflies are now fixed and affected by spawn weights, and now spawn frequently in small groups across the Overworld or anywhere on ground blocks like grass, mud, dirt, etc. as well as leaves. Their new default spawn weight is 200; this can be lowered or raised as needed with a max cap of 1,000. - Savanna mobs should spawn more regularly now. Their spawns got bugged somewhere along the line. - Fixed Hippo spawns. They now spawn more frequently, but still relatively uncommonly, on land near water sources or in water sources in Savannas. - Renamed “Grizzly Bear” to “Brown Bear”. - Fixed egg hatching subtitles.
