Description

Detailed information

_rinse and repeat, ad infinitum._ ## **disclaimer:** this pack is made for __-> fabric 1.20.1 <-__ so it probably won't work so well on forge or on other versions. **Impact: 🟡 🟡 ⚫ (2)** Gameplay differs somewhat, but maintains a vanilla-esque feel. <br> **Scaling:** Traditional, based on equipment. # Abilities: ## Endless Recursion ♾️ _Respawn instantly on death and retain XP. Dying in this way won't end Hardcore runs._ > __Falling, Forever:__ You will still die normally if you fall into the void. > __Languished Existence:__ You receive 80% less healing and don't regenerate from hunger. ## Twinned Souls ☯️ _Swap between The Cynic (🔥) and The Nihilist (👁️) each time you respawn._ > __Cynicism:__ You take and deal more damage when you are **healthy**, and less when you are injured. > - Dim Light and Isolating slowly heals you over time. > _(Staying away from other mobs and players.)_ > __Nihilism:__ You take and deal more damage when you are **injured**, and less when you are healthy. > - Dim Light and Ruminating slowly heals you over time. > _(Standing still frequently or remaining near your spawn point.)_ ## Defragmentation 🔎 _Hold the `Primary` key to recall to your spawn point._ > __Memory Shards:__ Press `Secondary` to bind an item to you at the cost of one heart. > - Bound items persist through death, but become unbound when you respawn. > - Shulker Boxes and Bundles cost 5 hearts and 3 hearts to bind, respectively. > __Spirit Sigil:__ Binding a **Soul Torch** allows you to set a temporary spawn point where you place it. > - A temporary spawn point alters your next respawn only. > _(You can only have one temporary spawn point at a time.)_ ## Shapemeld ⚗️ _Armor fuses with your body, granting additional Max Health._ > __Entanglement:__ Armor points no longer reduce incoming damage. > __Dulled Palate:__ Food items are less satiating, and no longer apply secondary effects. > - Despite this, Golden Apples are capable of restoring lost Max Health. ## Harbinger ⚖️ _Your projectiles deal very little damage but apply Grim Omen on hit._ > __Grim Omen:__ Based on your current soul, the target either deals less damage (Cynicism) or takes more damage (Nihilism), scaling with your health and missing health. > - Omen strength increases as your Max Health decreases, and decreases as it increases. > - An Omen is typically strongest when you're at half health. > __Reaper's Toll:__ A creature marked with Grim Omen has a chance to drop soul sand when slain. > - If the creature had at least 5 hearts, you also heal for 1 heart. # Additional Information: **Eye Spy 🧿** > - Spawnpoint markers are visible to players in Creative mode for debugging purposes. ### Known Issues: > - Recall progress can be hampered by lag. > - Recursion is sometimes incompatible with body health mods (i am not sure why it only bugs out sometimes but not other times). > _If the 'You Died' screen shows up and clicking 'respawn' doesn't respawn you, clicking the first "exit to menu" before it prompts you if you're sure, then clicking respawn seems to work._ > _This does make your model bug out and look like a corpse until you relog though, so that's strange, but it doesn't count as a death in the Statistics menu, so uhh... yay?_

Recall Demo

For when you regret going places, I guess.

Interdimensional

I forgot that giving you the ability to set your own spawn points means you can set one in the end. Whoops.

1.3 Current Release 23.11.2025

v1.3 - Numbness and Suffering

Supported Minecraft versions
1.20.1
Loaders / Platforms
datapack fabric
Show changes
Added a slight resistance to a few damage-over-time effects (like starving, freezing, etc.). Repeatedly taking damage like this will start to drain your max health. it's more of like an optional flavor update, i guess.
