Artifacts is a mod which aims to make exploration more rewarding by adding various powerful items that cannot be crafted.
The items added by this mod can be found in chests in vanilla structures, through archaeology, or can very rarely be found worn by entities. All artifacts only have a few chests in which they can be found, so go out and explore! Additionally, a new underground campsite structure has been added. Mimics occasionally spawn in these campsites instead of a chests, which are dangerous enemies that attack players that get too close. Mimics always drop a random artifact when killed.
Every item added by this mod has a unique model when equipped. The full set of items and their descriptions can be found in the images tab. Sn up-to-date list of where each item can be found is available on the wiki on GitHub.

Panic Necklace
Increases the wearer's movement speed after taking damage. Found in abandoned mineshafts, bastion treasure chests & pillager outposts
Onion Ring
Applies a haste effect after eating food
Antidote Vessel
Greatly reduces the duration of negative effects. Found in strongholds, bastion treasure chests & village temples
Kitty Slippers
Creepers avoid the wearer. Found in jungle temples, buried treasure chests & village tanneries
Vampiric Glove
Causes the wearer's melee attacks to absorb health. Found in mineshafts, desert pyramids & village armorers
Superstitious Hat
Applies an extra level of looting to killed entities. Found in pillager outposts, strongholds, large underwater ruins & mineshafts
Snowshoes
Allows the wearer to walk on powder snow, and makes ice less slippery
Cowboy Hat
Increases the speed of ridden mounts
Everlasting Beef/Eternal Steak
Not consumed when eaten. Dropped by cows killed by players, found in bastion stables & village butchers
Umbrella
Can be used both as a shield and as a glider. Found in buried treasure chests, desert pyramids & village tanneries
Cross Necklace
Increases the length of invincibility after taking damage. Found in bastion treasure chests, nether fortresses, pillager outposts and large underwater ruins
Cloud in a Bottle
Allows the wearer to double jump. Found in pillager outposts, large underwater ruins, end cities & mineshafts
Rooted Boots
Slowly replenishes the wearers hunger while walking on grass
Lucky Scarf
Applies an extra level of fortune to mined blocks. Found in treasure chests, ruined portals, strongholds & underwater ruins
Steadfast Spikes
Grants immunity to knockback. Found in pillager outposts, shipwrecks, bastion treasure chests & village armorers
Chorus Totem
A fatal hit teleports the player somewhere else
Shock Pendant
Has a chance to strike attackers with lightning. Found in desert pyramids
Night Vision Goggles
Allows the wearer to see in the dark. Found in abandoned mineshafts, shipwrecks & ruined portals
Pickaxe Heater
Automatically smelts mined ores
Fire Gauntlet
Causes the wearer's melee attacks to set targets on fire. Found in ruined portals, large underwater ruins & bastion treasure chests
Flame Pendant
Has a chance to light attackers on fire. Found in desert pyramids & bastion stables
Power Glove
Increases damage dealt by the wearer. Found in pillager outposts, ruined portals, strongholds & large underwater ruins
Bunny Hoppers
Increases the wearer's jump height and prevents fall damage. Found in jungle temples, buried treasure chests, bastion stables & village tanneries
Running Shoes
Increases movement speed and step height while sprinting. Found in shipwrecks, nether fortresses & village armorers
Angler's Hat
Increases Lure and Luck of the Sea by 1 level
Aqua-Dashers
Allows the wearer to sprint on water. Found in mineshafts, buried treasure chests & strongholds
Golden Hook
Increases experience dropped by creatures. Found in buried treasure chests, shipwrecks & bastion treasure chests

Can be used both as a shield and as a glider
Obsidian Skull
The wearer becomes temporarily immune to fire damage when hurt by fire. Found in ruined portals, shipwrecks & mineshafts
Scarf of Invisibility
Turns the wearer invisible. Found in desert pyramids, pillager outposts, shipwrecks & village tanneries
Plastic Drinking Hat
Greatly reduces the time it takes to drink drinkable items. Found in abandoned mineshafts, buried treasure chests & nether fortresses
Snorkel
Allows the wearer to breathe underwater. Found in buried treasure chests, shipwrecks & large underwater ruins
Digging Claws
Increases the wearer's mining speed and base mining level. Found in abandoned mineshafts, buried treasure chests & village toolsmiths
Crystal Heart
Increases the wearer's maximum health. Found in bastion treasure chests, end cities & pillager outposts
Whoopee Cushion
Increases the wearer's flatulence. Found in desert pyramids & village tanneries
Universal Attractor
Attracts nearby items. Found in desert pyramids, ruined portals & shipwrecks
Pocket Piston
Increases knockback dealt by the wearer. Found in pillager outposts, nether fortresses & village toolsmiths
Villager Hat
Decreases trading prices with villagers. Found in villages
Feral Claws

- The `everlastingBeefChance` option has been moved to the item config file and renamed to `everlasting_beef.dropRate`
- The `enableCooldownOverlay` option in the client config is now set to `true` by default
- Reduced the default value of `warp_drive.hungerCost` from `4` to `2`

### Config Additions
- Added an `<item_name>.generateAsLoot` (default = `true`) config option for each item,
which can be used to exclude it from being generated as loot
- Added `cloud_in_a_bottle.fallDistanceMultiplier` (default = `0`), which controls how much
fall damage is applied when double jumping after falling
- Added `scarf_of_invisibility.hideWhenInvisible` (default = `false`), which hides the Scarf of Invisibility
model when the player is invisible
- Added `universal_attractor.magnetismLevel` (default = `5`), which controls
the range of the Universal Attractor in blocks. Setting this config option to 0 will make the item cosmetic-only.
- Added `charm_of_sinking.underwaterFallDamage` (default = `false`), which causes players to take fall damage underwater
when wearing the Charm of Sinking
### Item Changes
- Players wearing the Charm of Sinking no longer take fall damage underwater.
- The Charm of Sinking now reduces the rate at which players lose air underwater
- It is now possible to stop flying with the Helium Flamingo by pressing the flight keybind again
- The Helium Flamingo can now be re-activated before it is fully charged.
Instead, a three-second cooldown is now applied to the item when stopping flight without landing
- Kitty Slippers will now hiss at Phantoms
- The Universal Attractor now applies the `artifacts:magnetism` mob effect
- Farts from the Whoopee Cushion can now be detected by Sculk Sensors, Shriekers and Wardens
### Miscellaneous
- Architectury API is no longer a required dependency
- Mimics will now try to flee from players when the game is set to peaceful mode
- Added keybinding to allowing toggling the following items:
- Charm of Sinking
- Charm of Shrinking
- Scarf of Invisibility
- Mob Effects applied by artifacts will now show their icon in the HUD to make it easier to see whether an item is enabled
