## What are Aurora's Shaders?

Aurora's Shaders offer a unique look for your game. Beautifully colorful lighting makes the game look incredible while maintaining good performance and the vanilla feel.
While most shaders try to make Minecraft something that it isn't, Aurora's shaders focus on purely enhancing Minecraft's visuals. It's not realistic or fantasy-themed, it's just Minecraft but better.
The overworld, nether and end all look the best they ever have, all 3 dimensions are fine-tuned to be stunning.

## Compatibility and technical details
These shaders are meant for Iris, I'm not sure how well they work on OptiFine or Canvas.
Some user config options may not work as intended or at all. The built-in config works though.

Minecraft 1.9 updated the end, and so do Aurora's Shaders 1.9
- Redid the end dimension lighting (shoutout SamdotEXE for the suggestion)
- Removed world outline from Vanilla Plus and PvP presets for a much better low-end experience
- Yep it still works in 1.21.5 :thumbsup:

Confirmed compatibility with 1.20.5
- Improved water for the Timelapse and Cinematic presets in numerous ways:
- Made water color look more vanilla-ish.
- Made water objectively BETTER by fixing a bug where shallow water would be much more transparent when viewed from a distance.
- Increased transparency for reflections.
- Made lava buckets and tridents look better when held in the player's hand by making lighting consistent across their entire textures.
PS. I've tested these shaders with Distant Horizons, and they are functional but could use some polishing with the additional LODs.

Minor update, just a few tweaks
- Improved performance for the Vanilla Plus and PvP presets by turning off Edge Shadow Quality, this has the nice side effect of making the presets look better as well.
- Enabled world outline for the Vanilla Plus preset

It's the largest update yet!!!
Thanks to everyone for 10,000 downloads
- Completely revamped the look of the shaders
- Added custom profiles to fit different scenarios:
Vanilla+: More or less the same v1.2.
PvP: Adds a world outline and makes dark areas (like caves and night time) easier to see, optimized for PvP gamemodes.
Timelapse: My new favorite. Basically Vanilla+ with a world outline and better graphics settings. Enabled by default.
Cinematic: Timelapse with realtime shadows.
Profiles can be found in the shaderpack settings
- Made nights more visible and vanilla-like for all profiles.
IMPORTANT: If you have configured the shader settings on a prior version and are updating, you may need to click through the profiles list until it says "Timelapse" instead of "Custom" to experience the new update.
